Unexpectedly, after a short illness

 

The following words are adapted from the certificate of Life Membership which was presented to him at the 2024 AGM

 

Stan, 93 years old, was a long term member of our club. He held many rallies at a great variety of venues throughout the country, and became a fund of information on the CL network, never missing an opportunity to check them out on his travels.

He could also be counted on to know where the best pie shop was, or the best pub for a meal!

Stan served on our committee in a variety of rolls, including Chairman.

He was always at the forefront in welcoming new members,
and his great knowledge of caravans helped many members overcome problems while out on the road.

Stan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

thank Stan for the time he gave us, and extend our deepest sympathy to his family, together with Pauline, his close partner, in his later years.
